In the process of raising children, parents often face various challenges and concerns. To support parents in coping more effectively with the pressures of parenting, our school social worker, Ms Lo, has organised a series of four ‘Learning Cognitive Behavioural Therapy’ parent group sessions this year.
Through discussion and practical exercises, the group sessions helped parents identify and reflect on their thought patterns during the discipline process, learning how to face challenges with a positive mindset. It is hoped that parents will apply what they have learnt to help their children adapt better to school life, build good interpersonal relationships, and maintain emotional stability when facing academic pressure, thereby promoting the mutual growth of parents and children.
