On Saturday, February 7, the K3 students ventured into the community and visited St. Mary’s Nursing Home in Wong Chuk Hang to spend a morning filled with love and care with the elderly residents. The children offered their blessings through songs and dances, and joined the seniors in doing the “Ten-Finger Exercises,” giving gentle massages, and making New Year decorations. Finally, they presented handmade greeting cards to convey warmth and affection.
Through this visit, the children learned to care for the elderly in society with a compassionate heart and came to understand the true meaning of filial piety and care. May we always remember Jesus’ mission: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15), so that light and love may continue to shine in our school and community.
