On January 20, 2026, the K3 students visited the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens to explore the diverse flora and fauna with their teachers. On the day, the children first observed birds such as the blue-and-gold macaw, the American red-crowned crane, and the crested myna; they then visited the mammal exhibits, which included rare and endangered species such as ring-tailed lemurs, Bornean orangutans, and cotton-top tamarins.
Through close observation, the children learned about the physical characteristics, behaviors, and living habits of different animals. They also observed the work of the animal caretakers, thereby learning to care for animals and follow park rules, while enhancing their knowledge of ecology and environmental conservation. This activity allowed the children to experience the beauty of nature in an oasis amidst the bustling city, breathe fresh air, relax their minds and bodies, and gain a great deal from the experience.
