To welcome the warm and joyous Mid-Autumn Festival, our kindergarten hosted the “Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival & Birthday Celebration” on October 2, 2025. This festive event blended tradition with creativity, guiding children into a fairy-tale world bathed in moonlight.
During the event, teachers shared the origins and cultural significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival through engaging stories. Children watched captivating videos showcasing fire dragon dances, lantern-making, and mooncake crafting, sparking their curiosity and imagination about traditional customs. Children unleashed their creativity by painting unique lanterns, skillfully shaping mooncakes from modeling clay, and crafting Mid-Autumn Festival wall hangings themed “Little Rabbit Welcoming the Moon.”
Additionally, we created a “Chasing Moonlight” experience in the music room. Holding decorative lanterns, colorful flashlights, and cartoon projector lights, children explored a magical world of shifting light and shadow, filled with delightful surprises. Through a series of dynamic and interactive activities, children gained a deeper understanding of Mid-Autumn Festival culture while enjoying a memorable and laughter-filled time in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
